Ok, folks… This will be our little MyPhone A919 Duo “update page”.
This means that everytime I get new information about the A919 Duo, I’ll be posting it here. So keep on coming back to this post to see the latest updates.
For starters, here are a few updates (and accurate information) that I’ve recently gathered:
UPDATE 1:
The MyPhone A919 Duo’s price upon release is Php 7,990.00 (not 7,999.00).
UPDATE 2:
The MyPhone A919 Duo will be released TOMORROW (November 23, 2012).
UPDATE 3:
The MyPhone A919 Duo does NOT support “USB OTG” contrary to inaccurate information being released elsewhere. MyPhone never announced the capability even on their Facebook page. (Be careful where you seek info)
UPDATE 4:
For those talking about MyPhone merely being a “rebranded” Micromax model, here is a brief clarification about the issue as explained by MyPhone themselves:
The MyPhone A919 Duo is NOT rebranded by micromax. They have the same manufacturer in China. In the Philippines, MyPhone is tried and tested and goes through a tedious quality control process handled by a filipino technical team – so expect improved and better quality.

i think its clear that A919 has OTG functionalities.. its in the engineering mode menu. and many have tried it and it worked.
and about more updates… I hate to pin the Micromax shadow on A919… but Micromax has just released their 5inch quaddie…
hhmmm, its pretty exciting when you know myphone can go on to that direction…
A989 or A999 perhaps?!
Id like to post and ask about my a919 regarding its capability to provide wireless or USB tethering..im trying it to two of my Laptops one is XP and win 7..it shows connected but has no internet connection…how can you help..thanks
Same problem. A919 white freeze sa Myphone logo lng. Binili ko December 7,2012. Working well until Last week Facebook and Skype Hindi na ma open I have to uninstall and install it again. Ngayon freeze na sa logo. Don’t know how to reset it. Help please. Bacolod city
it happened to me as well. I went Sony for repair. I was still there when i put back my sim on my phone. A message appeared saying the android suddenly stopped
Ask ko lng ko .. bakit ayaw gumana ng Auto Rotation ko kahit naka ON. gagana lng po pag sa simula pag mga ilang oras ayaw na gumana .. try ko sa mga sensored games like Doodle Jump .. Sobrang bagal mag galaw … kaya lage ko ni rerestart pag ayaw na gumana ang Auto Rotation nya…. Any Advice po para sa inyo..
all applications just stopped. what do i need to do
Do a reset. Turn off your device and remove batt for about 10secs.
Ask ko lang po .. bakit hindi ko makikita yung motion sensor settings… Parang wala ata eh.. help po .
Motion sensor is built-in pero walang settings.
ANu ba dpat gawin ko .. kasi na gumana yug motion pag matagal eh.. gumana sya pero titry ko sa mga motion games like temple run .etc.
Sobrang bagal umiswag.. pano to sa simula lang sya gagana ng maayos eh.

ask ko lang po paano po ba malalaman if rooted na ung a919 or hindi? plano ko kasi 2nd hand bilin..
is it true na ung mga nagbebenta ng 2nd hand sa sulit, is ung my mga defect na?like ung ga namention above? pls help.
can you have instgram on myphone a919?
Yes. You can install Instagram on the A919
sir bat ganun ung myphone a919 ko, kapag dinisable ko ung Airplane mode ko, ngrerestart ang phone ko ng paulit-ulit
ask ko lang po .. ano poyung Data Usage Warning ?? .. kasi uma-apaw na eh.. i think ito yung dahilan kung bakit hindi ako maka 3G or mobile internet.. pano po ma decrease ung data usage ?..
